Our Framework
Every loan we originate is governed by these six programs. They exist to protect you, prevent financial crime, and keep us accountable.
We verify the identity of every borrower before originating a loan.
All applicants must provide a valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID, or passport) and a Social Security Number or ITIN. Identity documents are verified against authoritative databases. Records are retained for a minimum of five years in accordance with FinCEN CIP requirements.
We maintain a written AML program and monitor all transactions.
Our AML program includes written policies and procedures, a designated compliance officer, ongoing employee training, and independent audits. We file Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) for cash transactions exceeding $10,000 and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) whenever we detect activity consistent with money laundering, structuring, or fraud.
Every applicant is screened against U.S. Treasury sanctions lists.
Prior to loan origination, all applicants are screened against the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) list and other applicable sanctions programs. We do not transact with sanctioned individuals, entities, or jurisdictions. Screening is repeated on an ongoing basis for existing customers.
Customer data is encrypted and never sold to third parties.
All personal and financial data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Access to customer records is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data breach notification procedures comply with Michigan and federal law.
All loan terms are disclosed in writing before you sign.
Before any loan is originated, you receive a written loan agreement disclosing the principal amount, interest rate, APR, origination fee, repayment schedule, maturity date, and collateral forfeiture conditions. You have the right to review the agreement before signing. No loan is binding until you provide your electronic signature.
We retain transaction and identity records as required by law.
Customer identification records, loan agreements, transaction records, and SAR/CTR filings are retained for a minimum of five years from the date of the transaction or account closure, whichever is later. Records are stored securely and made available to authorized regulators upon lawful request.
Your Protections
Michigan law and federal regulation give you specific rights as a borrower. We are committed to upholding every one of them.
You are entitled to a complete written loan agreement before signing. This agreement must include all fees, rates, and terms in plain language.
You may redeem your collateral at any time before the loan matures by repaying the outstanding principal plus accrued interest and fees.
We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, or any other protected characteristic.
If you believe your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services (DIFS) at 1-877-999-6442 or difs.state.mi.us.
